The National Board of Review held its awards ceremony Tuesday night at Cipriani 42nd Street. “A Most Violent Year” was named 2014 Best Film of the Year. Its star, Oscar Isaac, tied for Best Actor, and his co-star Jessica Chastain received the Best Supporting Actress award.

Look for a story forthcoming from Paula Schwartz, who attended the event. In the meantime, here’s a beautiful photo Paula took of the always stunning Jessica Chastain. Honestly, I told Paula it’s like she’s some ethereal creature from a fairy world.

  1. Yes she is luminous. You can’t take a picture of Jessica in which she is not beautiful. I noticed this about all really big movie stars, that some glow or light comes from them, which I suppose also has to do with bone structure and how they photograph as well as that indescribable and mysterious quality known as charisma. Youth helps of course but it is more than that. Meryl Streep has it too.
