Taylor Swift, New Year's Eve 2013

It’s going to be a great year for Taylor Swift, because 13 is her lucky number. The pop star seems to have staying power, that’s for sure, as she hit the stage tonight to perform for millions of people during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013 at Times Square in New York City (I love that they’ve kept Dick Clark’s name on the title – that’s awesome).

The 23-year-old singer performed her hit songs “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” I’ve probably heard that second song a few too many times, but love the first one.

Swift tweeted: “So excited to be in New York playing on @OfficialNYRE! It all starts at 8pm ET on ABC. Can’t. even. verbalize. how stoked I am for 2013!”

She added later, “There are 13′s EVERYWHERE. This is PERFECT.” I quite agree. It’s going to be a great year.
