Hough stars as Katie, a young woman who runs away from her troubled Boston life and starts anew in the sleepy North Carolina town of Southport. She forms a bond with shopkeeper Alex (Josh Duhamel), but her past comes back to haunt her.
“Safe Haven” is rated PG-13 for thematic material involving threatening behavior, and for violence and sexuality.
