Beyonce is the perfect choice to belt out the National Anthem at today’s Presidential inauguration ceremony.
The singer’s performance capped the official proceedings of the inauguration, and served as the marker between the events on the steps of the capitol and the inaugural parade down Pennsylvania Avenue.
Also performing at the festivities: Kelly Clarkson, who sang “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” immediately after Barack Obama delivered his inaugural address, and James Taylor, who sang “America the Beautiful.” Both great choices, blending old-school folk and modern rock.
Other musicians and singers spotted at events surrounding the actual inauguration include Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Usher.
