Anne Hathaway wedding gownOn Sept. 29, 2012, Anne Hathaway married Adam Shulman in Big Sur, California after four years together.

She looked lovely, happy and gorgeous in a Valentino dress made of ivory silk point d’esprit tulle and a train embroidered with satin flowers. The dress was actually hand-painted in a soft pink hue (so glad I wasn’t in charge of that!).

I wasn’t sure about the 1920s-inspired headpiece adorned with a lace ribbon with a large flower and small crystal beads, but I think it works for her, especially with her hair cut short while filming Les Miserables .

“Mr. Valentino Garavani designed it especially for Anne and our seamstresses at the couture atelier in Rome made it,” a Valentino representative told The Telegraph. “Anne is like a daughter to him.”

I’ve always loved her work, especially in romantic comedies like The Princess Diaries, Ella Enchanted, and The Devil Wears Prada. So neat to see her happy and in love.
