Brad Pitt Does Chanel No. 5

I don’t think Brad Pitt’s new ad for Chanel No. 5 is having the desired effect, since everyone and their brother is making fun of it.

I’m not sure what to think. On the one hand, it’s Brad Pitt. On the other hand, it’s Brad Pitt. I guess he’s iconic at this point, but it’s almost like Chanel is making fun of his iconic-ness.

And apparently, it’s a five-part ad series, and the second part is him saying the same thing he said in the first part. Come on, Chanel. You must have enough of a budget to write a different script for the second part, right? Let’s move the story along, not just re-hash the Brad-ness.

And, really? If I stand in a corner and ramble on like a scene out of The Tree of Life, will you pay me millions of dollars, Chanel?

What do you think? Like the ad? Or does it just make you go, really?
