Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton | Lifetime
I’m pulling for Lindsay Lohan. I think she can turn her life around and be happy and healthy and successful. And good for Lifetime for taking a chance on her.
The female-skewing cable network released the first official image (above) of the actress and Kiwi actor Grant Bowler (Cooter on season three of True Blood) for its upcoming original movie, Liz & Dick. Production started Monday in Los Angeles and has already made headlines for an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
I have to day, she really does look like Elizabeth Taylor, and while it’s hard to tell in the above photo, he seems like a good choice to play Richard Burton. Lifetime is upping their game lately, producing more thoughtful shows like The Conversation with Amanda de Cadanet (produced by Demi Moore). I’ve watched a few eps and really like that show.
Thoughts on Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor? Think this role might signal a comeback for the troubled starlet?

Oh my God, I did not even recognize Lindsay! Hoping it will be a nice turn to her life. Let’s see how it works out.
Lindsay’s private life is her private life, I don’t care if she drinks too much or smokes too much, but if she pulls this Elizabeth Taylor thing off, she will have my respect.

No, I don’t think it signals a comeback, just another opportunity for her to make more money to waste on drugs and alcohol. Elizabeth Taylor this woman will never be.
Not much of a Lohan fan (tend to agree with Living Large, up there), but she does look stunning.

I like Lindsay Lohan’s acting very much, even with all the troubles she’s had. I hope she gives the best performance of her career as Liz Taylor.
