‘Letters to Juliet’ opens in theaters May 14, 2010, and stars Amanda Seyfried as an American girl named Sophie on vacation in Italy. While there, she finds an unanswered "letter to Juliet" — one of thousands of letters left at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by the "secretaries of Juliet.”
The story spans a love that’s lasted through 50 years, and of course, makes young Sophie question her own love life. The romantic film also stars Christopher Egan, Vanessa Redgrave, and Gael Garcia Bernal. It looks like the ultimate chick flick with equal parts romance, comedy and drama. Here’s Seyfried talking a bit about the movie, and after the jump, Egan and Bernal have a few things to say, as well.
Christopher Egan says he’s not a Debbie Downer:
Gael Garcia Bernal says his character isn’t a jerk.
